Dear Chrissie
I wanted to write to you to thank you so much
for all your help with training our puppy. You clearly have a real
understanding of animal behaviour and once you explained things
to us it helped us to understand what we needed to do in order to
establish the proper hierarchy and to train our puppy into a well
behaved and happy dog.
We have followed your instructions that you left us for several
weeks now and the routine that you put in place for us has been
a huge help in house breaking Gracie as well as dealing with her
barking whenever she wants attention. We are working on being the
"top dog" which I think will be an ongoing battle! We
will be in touch to let you know how we are getting on and I am
sure we will have many other questions along the way.
Thank you again,
Mrs. M. Gardner |
“Earliest return to maximum
function,” is our aim as orthopaedic surgeons. Whether post-operatively,
post injury or to counteract signs of ageing and obesity, hydrotherapy
is an invaluable yet largely underused tool to us as veterinarians.
I have been consistently impressed with the results Chrissie
has achieved through hydrotherapy at Waterworks. My patients are
rehabilitated faster and my clients are delighted with her personal
care and unquestionable expertise.

Chrissie Yggmark has helped several of my patients following orthopaedic
surgery, to rehabilitate them as well as geriatrics with arthritis.
Some of these dogs have never swum before, but they have all succumbed
to Chrissies persuasion and positively enjoyed the experience.

Chrissie has known our German Wirehaired Pointers Molly and Logan
almost as long as we have had them. They are both besotted with
her and treat her as their surrogate mother. Although they are
lovely dogs they have had an extremely difficult adolescence,
further complicated by their rather flawed temperament. Chrissie
has guided us through very difficult times of learning how to
live with them both, and gave us hope and encouraged us to persevere
when we were on the point of giving up.
Chrissie has that special touch with dogs and they in return
respond to her. We have only her to thank that we believed it
was possible for them to change, and now have two delightful lively
dogs.

My standard schnauzer, Bogey,
is 16 (and a third!) and has been having regular hydro-therapy sessions
for nearly a year now. Without doubt they have helped his mobility
and general well being enormously. Whereas this time last year he
could hardly get around, now he has far less problems. In fact we
just returned from a holiday in Tuscany where he had a great time--and
enjoyed the swimming pool! Certainly without the exercise that Bogey
gets from swimming, I doubt that he would still be with us. Also,
he loves his sessions with Chrissie. I whole heartedly recommend
hydro-therapy for any dog with mobility problems.

Thanks so much for the care and treatment given to my 12 year old
Jack Russell, Coco.
As you know she had a problem with her hind
leg that was causing her quite some pain. I tried every sort of
treatment from homeopathic, acupuncture, veterinary (painkillers),
chiropractic, and swimming therapy with you.
What really produced obvious results was the
swimming, together with the chiropractic. The end result has been
that although I was on the point of submitting Coco to orthopaedic
surgery, with suspected bone abnormalities and a possible cruciate
ligament injury, she has now made a very good recovery and does
not need any further interventions, although I will still bring
her for some swimming as it is so beneficial.
Many, many thanks
