As Programme Adviser and Associate Lecturer
with Middlesex University, I can advise on their Work Based
Learning programmes.
As well as assessing students' work and guiding them through
a range of modules to suit their career plans, I am also working
on a new project which may enable students to gain a degree
through distance learning which will provide them with an
opportunity to continue to work and gain vocational experience
in the real world whilst studying part-time.
This type of study could represent the future for many who
do not wish to take the traditional Further Education college
route with its school-like lessons and requirements to be
in class at certain times. More on this to come!
I have also gained a Masters degree MA in Professional Studies
with Middlesex University, grduating July 2011. A bit late
in my academic life but worthwhile!
